A real challenge of maturity,
We never tell children:
Other people are cruel,
Nasty, brutish, and shortsighted.
They will remain hostile in the face,
Of the “other.”
Be it truth,
Or other people.
We rarely tell them;
To avoid such ugly souls –
For sake of their own happiness,
Or sanity.
