We’ll exist together, here & now.

A single moment of emotion, or thought.

Drifting in the solar winds.

You;

Who inspire me to believe that love can exist,

Even in these turbulent times.

One bastion of an empire, I wish to build.

One born of philanthropy, creativity, hope.

Another,

A brilliant young autistic woman,

Who I hope to gift the reins of power, one day.

Another, an anxiety-riddled comedian.

My mental rolodex is long.

Some careers I’ve been watching,

For decades – analyzing talent, self, goals.

This broken, eidetic memory –

Fragments upon fragments.

Scattered across the psyche of a villain.

Some humanist madman, ecosocialist scum.

Anarchist, worst of all – seeking freedom.

We have this, now. A fleeting moment.

Time, progressing like it does,

Ensures mortality in spades.

Know the brutalities of ecology, firsthand.

The Brutal Calculus,

Yet again.

My time is coming, as this timeline fades.

New destinies are calling – forged,

By my own hands upon the anvils of fate.

Storm watch. The howling tempest, again.

Remember me as I am now, would you kindly?

Before I play at “The Butterfly King” evermore.

Transitions, of a sort.

Emerging from yet another cocoon,

Cryptid fluids seeping – like liquid shadows.

Another metamorphosis, complete.

Another shedding, molting, a changing of form.

Until black scales flap white in the wind,

A reminder to some, nutrients for others.

Remaining metaphors, of my legacy.

Dead.

Maybe forgotten.

These thousands of poems – a final legacy.

Living together through turbulent times.

The distant sound of fireworks,

Will light our way. A promise,

Of what we’ll wreak upon this world.

A gift of hope – for better futures.

How audacious can we get?

Remember such vigor.

Love.
